CtCPopServedThe Kennebec River Rail Trail Annual meeting in 2014 was a great gathering with a fascinating presentation by Victor Langelo on the new Merrymeeting Trail. This is an in-the-works project , long term works, to build trails for hiking, walking and biking from Topsham all the way up through Bowdoinham and Richmond and finally to connect with our very own River trail in Gardiner. This will be a 25 mile trail system through 4 towns and many beautiful stretches along the Kennebec River. This entire river corridor, now being called the Capital to Coast Trail, was just recently officially designated a Trail of Statewide Significance.

There is much to be done to make this all a glorious reality. If you love biking and hiking and if you are interested you can see more at the website: http://merrymeetingtrail.org/
