Information on the Memorial Benches

The cost is $2500 per bench and we are very happy that you would consider this beautiful trail as a place for a memorial bench. There are various locations along the trail that are suitable for memorial benches.

We currently have three memorial benches:

1. The first is located at the bottom of the Capital connector about 100 yards to the North.
2. The second is on a little footpath that goes from the official Rail Trail through the woods to the edge of the Kennebec River. This one is a little out of the way and a nice quiet spot to go to. The approximate location is south of the Augusta waste water treatment plant. I know that doesn't sound very appealing but you don't notice the plant from it's location.
3. The third is located in Farmingdale, in another quiet spot away from the road, right on the trail and is a spot where people could sit and rest or visit, etc. It is in a grove of beautiful trees located close to a mile marker.
